aizu

about aizu

Built for someone who kept forgetting.

Why it exists

I was bad at taking my meds. Rarely on time. Most days, I’d forget altogether. But I need them for my health, so “I’ll remember tomorrow” wasn’t really working.

I wanted an app that would make me stop and actually do it: an alarm I couldn’t just swipe away and forget. So I built aizu. That extra step, getting the pill in front of me, is the whole idea.

What it does

aizu is a routine companion, not medical advice. Always check your label and follow your prescribed treatment.

Why “aizu”?

aizu means “signal” in Japanese. I was reading Haruki Murakami and thinking about how Japan takes pride in its punctuality and respect for time. Even a late train owes you an apology. We should take meds with the same respect for time, and sometimes we need a little nudge to get us there.

Availability

aizu is coming soon to the App Store for iPhone · iOS 26 or later. Until then, the homepage has an interactive preview of the app. Questions are welcome on the contact page.
